Yup. Ironically enough, a kid from the Democratic party just knocked on my door and handed me a nice little picture guide of who to vote for, with a label of my polling place. :p

Exactly!!
I'm keeping a list of all the "No, Whats the use? Won't change a thing" people, and I don't want to hear any of them bitching about politics any more!

:)

I voted yes Libertarian in the poll, the one exception will be Jeb Bush (Republican) but you can be D@MN sure I won't be voting for any democrats. They lost me forever with their defense of Clinton and perjury is not an impeachable offense nonsense.
This is not the only reason I will not vote for democrats but it is the straw that broke the camels back and made me swear never to vote for anyone in that party again.
The Republicans are not far behind, even though I agree with them more on an issue by issue basis.

I'll be voting strait Republican here in Illinois. Although I DO fear that we will have a Democrat for Governor, no matter who he, Rep or Dem, it's Chicago Democrats pull the strings. That won't change.

Those that do not vote because they are all corupt or other nonsensecal reason are just too afraid to make a decision. Doing something in politics, or life for that matter, incurs the risk of being wrong. Some are just not comfortable with that. They make all kinds of excuses and afterwards all they do is say "Look! I told you so!." But they offer no workable solutions.

If you do not educate yourselves on the issues, PLEASE don't vote! I just described most Democrats btw!:D

If you pick and choose the person to elect based on what they say about an issue in an ad, PLEASE stay at home!

Afterall when they get into office they will be TOLD how they will vote. And not by the voter!:frown:

Talking about Dem voters, yet you are so dumb you just vote straight ticket. Straight ticket is for people that but a partys BullS__T an just vote for them. Just because some one is Dem or Rep does not mean they will represent YOU and YOUR community the best

In my kneck of the woods there is only ONE Democrat worth voting for, but the Republican running against him is better.

I KNOW where they stand on key issues and THAT is the reason I'll be voting strait Republican tomorrow.

Don't those who say "No, Whats the use? Won't change a thing" know that they have the power to sway an election if they'd just get off their lazy, apathetic asses and vote?

Well no they don't but they usually are the first to complain about the economy or their taxes:D

[*]To buck the trend of 18-25 year-olds not going out to vote.
[*]To elect Jennifer Granholm governor of Michigan
[*]To vote for Regents for the University of Michigan...an election which will directly impact my education.

I can't wait.

Omg, please, no. Granholm is freaking lunatic, she will destroy this state with enough time. I only hope that if she wins she won't kill us all in the 4 years her reign of terror will last. In Michigan's case, Posthumus is actually a viable solution rather than the "lesser of two evils". Granholm is proposing to take money out of the MEAP education grants and move it into the anti-smoking fight (an obvious waste when compared to spending the money on sending kids to college - but yes, I know the money she is taking out is from the national tobacco deal, but it is better spent on actual education anyhow). She'll probably end up supporting a tax raise because she already considers the Michigan budget very slim. And she hasn't even outlined a large portion of her agenda, just making vague statements about "I believe in" and "We need to move for" on several issues. Her actually position on several issues is quite iffy.

I will be voting to buck the trend of 18-25 year-olds not going out to vote as well :).

Granholm will be elected governor. The up side to this is after another democrat induced disaster for our great state, ala Blanchard, another republican will be at the helm for another 12 years.......

The problem with Granholm as I see it is that most people don't really know where she stands. She panders to everyone and clearly lacks the backbone to stick to her convictions. She says anything to get elected. Unfortunately it won't be until she begins her reign of terror before we will all be witness to her terrible plan.

....at least with Engler, love him or hate him, we knew where he stood. Same with Posthumus. But he's not a pandering blond female.:(

I'm registered R, but will vote D for governor and senator because the R's in those positions are nothing more than bottom feeding, lobbiest scum.

I'm voting on character this election, not party lines.

Yeah, Illinois voters get screwed no matter what this year. In my mind, it's just a question of who's going to screw me less.

I may just end up voting for whomever I think is most likely to fight the proposed Peotone airport (which would be uncomfortably close to my home). Oddly enough, that was the result of a sweetheart deal between Democrat Daley and Republican Ryan.
