[*]To buck the trend of 18-25 year-olds not going out to vote.
[*]To elect Jennifer Granholm governor of Michigan
[*]To vote for Regents for the University of Michigan...an election which will directly impact my education.

I can't wait.

Vote Democrat for the MSU crap, please.

Don't those who say "No, Whats the use? Won't change a thing" know that they have the power to sway an election if they'd just get off their lazy, apathetic asses and vote?

No, it doesn't make a difference if a Republican or Democrat gets in, it's still always the same old sh!t. There's no chance for any third-party member. Even if there was, they wouldn't make a difference because of all the Republicans or Democrats that are already instilled. "Having the power" is an illusion.

Actually less than 50% of voters vote, so the people that don't think it matters can put in the people THEY wanted it they came together.
And these mid-term elections are MORE IMPORTANT than the presidents election. There are a lot of states witht eh Gov. race in balance, sentors(state and Fed.), and even local politics.

Even if you don't know who to vote for go to te polls, sign in and get a ballot and send it throug/turn it in BLANK if just 2-4% of people that didn't vote did this more people running would work just that much harder.

How crass of me to forget the Libertarians. I gues I was thinking it's a waste there, just as voting green party or John Birch society or something.

Truth is, If libertarians can ever get their act together, they might be a dang good alternative to the Status Quo. In my neighborhood, its like voting for Saddam. You get one choice overwhelmingly; Republican. One candidate is bucking the Staus Quo, and I am going to vote for him, just because I can.

But once you become a politician, you have sold your soul to the devil, and you dance to a different tune than the mainstream people you are supposed to represent. That robe covers ALL politicians, regardless of creed.

Yes, mostly republican, I can think of 1 democrat.

I'd have to place myself in the top 5% of informed voters, and have spoken with most of the candidates on many occasions.

Voted today, mixed Democrat, and Republican.

(*This is just my opinion ) Too many people die/have died to secure the right for us to vote. Not voting in my eyes is discraceful to their sacrafice. If someone gives there life for you to have an opportunity, then take it.

Yeah, but not like it matters much, Kirk and Sanchez are already going to lose without my vote heh. The guy in the wheel chair already basically has his race locked up. The only close race is for Lt Gov.

If it were not for uninformed voters we would have no Democrats elected....;)

I'll be voting strait Republican here in Illinois. Although I DO fear that we will have a Democrat for Governor, no matter who he, Rep or Dem, it's Chicago Democrats pull the strings. That won't change.

Those that do not vote because they are all corupt or other nonsensecal reason are just too afraid to make a decision. Doing something in politics, or life for that matter, incurs the risk of being wrong. Some are just not comfortable with that. They make all kinds of excuses and afterwards all they do is say "Look! I told you so!." But they offer no workable solutions.

If you do not educate yourselves on the issues, PLEASE don't vote! I just described most Democrats btw!:D

If you pick and choose the person to elect based on what they say about an issue in an ad, PLEASE stay at home!

Afterall when they get into office they will be TOLD how they will vote. And not by the voter!:frown:
