As long as it's someone whose former career didn't involve the oil industry in any way would be nice. On second thought a sock puppet as a running mate would probably beat Cheney in the polls . . .

This thread went off topic with "but then again I'm not sure any choice will win it for him because of who he is" not that I really care. Most of the subsequent posts (including this but not my first) have been thread crapping. Such is life.

McCain is not going to happen. McCain is a very conservative Republican. I could not imagine him switching parties to run for VP with Kerry. This might happen in the magical land of Oz but here.
Clinton is most likely not going to happen. Why would she do it? Being VP sucks and there is no guaranty that the job will lead to anything except retirement. Why would Kerry choose someone has such strong negatives?
Kerry already has the Democratic party so he does not need Dean. Also Dean would be fodder for the media to talk about something else than GWB, the Iraqi war, and the economy.
I think Kerry will choose somebody from the south or the west coast.

Nader is a no-go. He will definately turn off the middle. I know kerry is smart enough to know Nader would be a really really poor choice.
