POLL: Who here actually likes WarcraftIII

i love it. the unit limit sucks, but then i realized you have to win more on tatics and unit managment. 😀

graphics are good..

the game itself is good.. not as addicting as starcraft was for me a few years back thoguh... i think maybe i'm justoutgrowing comptuer games.

and the lack of water stuff sucks.. i miss building boats and drilling for oil

Geez... I haven't followed this game at all, but I loved WCII. You don't have water stuff? and no large armies? Damn... Maybe I won't buy it then.

i was thinking the same thing...maybe im just outgrowing games....WC2 was so awesome....SC was even better....maybe my expectations were just waaaay too high...

I like it so far but I have not had a chance to play it much yet. I still think it did not need to be 3D but at least Blizzard did a half decent job with it.

No water units, but they ARE in the game (just as unplayable characters. Well, the boats are anyway), I kind of suspect the might add them in the expansion pack. You can only use 90 total units of food, but one unit doesn't always use just one unit of food (Knights use 4, footman use 2, peasents use 1). I just finished the human campaign today, I'm really enjoying it. I'm so used to the "build a huge army and totally overwhelm the enemy base" method from WC2, which doesn't translate so well to WC3.

The heros are a nice addition. They have an inventory system so they can pickup equiptment from various "creeps" inhabiting the maps. The hero's really can turn the tide of the battle and are quite useful.

Thought you said W3C for a minute. That's a whole 'nother ball game.

haha.... yeah I had to do a double take as well.

me too....I was even going to post something really clever about it, but then I realized my mistake.... 😛

I hate it. period. i'm not a big fan of blizzard RTS games. starcraft never got me excited, warcraft 2 was always beaten by red alert imo. Maybe i'm just not that type of person, but I hate this game and i'm glad i paid nothing for it.

man you guys don't know what you're talking about, the unit limit makes the game

have you EVER played a war3 game that the other person just bunkers in? NO

have you EVER played a SC game where the other person just bunkers in? YES

war3 FORCES you into an aggressive/non-zerg style of play

tatics and unit managment.

Exactly. You can't just mass units and expect to win! Things have changed!

SC2 will rock though..

I've found very repeatedly that: War2 players love War3, but weren't into SC.
SC Players that didn't play war3, but loved SC.. think war3 is "ok".

I really like the fact that your hero's add a RPG element to the game.
If you have 3 high level hero's and a smallish army, you will easily beat a large army with low level heroes. The first few minutes are critical in every game.
