Once I figure out why my comp reboots after 10-20 minutes of play, I think I'll really like it. Going to try the previous drivers for the Radeon 8500 tonight, hopefully that'll do it. 😕

Exactly. You can't just mass units and expect to win! Things have changed!
SC2 will rock though..
I've found very repeatedly that: War2 players love War3, but weren't into SC.
SC Players that didn't play war3, but loved SC.. think war3 is "ok".
Yep, got it from gogamer.com during their sale. I can scan the invoice if you like. 😛Umm...is your copy "legal"? Just wondering....
could be dx8 sound acceleration, put it on basic or none and see what happens
Thanks for the ideas, I'll give them a shot. 😀I had to change it from EAX2 to emulated sound because I was having the same problem...now things work like a charm.

War3 owns. I like it how you can win by pure strategy and not just mindlessly building an army of like 200. You also can't just camp at your base, setup a few dozen towers and wait til the enemy is weak before your pansy ass emerges. You sit at your base and you will die.
That fixed it. Thanks again!Originally posted by: spidey78

I'm not a fan. The plot progression is lame, and I hate only being able to select and move 12 units at a time. Maybe the multiplayer is better than the standalone game, but I don't feel like screwing around with my router to make it work correctly.

Sorry, but I don't consider 3 more units to be much of an improvement. In Total Annihilation (still the best RTS game of all time, IMHO) I can select as many units as a want, and move them all at once to create a large, epic battle. I've seen nothing in Warcraft 3 as cool as watching 100 KBots with air support invading some poor suckers base simultaniously, and leveling the sucker in 45 seconds 🙂
