I'm sure cracker is usually used in a joking manner, which I even find it funny. At the same time, if someone calls me a cracker (joking or not) I expect to be able to call them something else in terms of what race they are. Of course only in a joking manner or on the same terms they started it.

Oh, depends on what race you are. If you are asian the N bomb wouldn't be appropriate. But if you are balck, it would be. Of course, if you say in a joking manner (like i said, i do, in fact, find 'cracker' funny) then I think I should be able to joke back with you.

Much like my uncle, he works with a bunch of people who just so happen to be black, they always are joking with eachother in regards to race. No harm done, and sometimes it can be quite funny when watermelon is brought into the picture.

But when Kerry Collins called his Black teamates "N___" just like the black players do to each other, then that is offensive to me that he was trying to fit in by using the N word. Yes Collins is a fool but I do not think he said it in any way to be a slur.

I do think a funny name for that caucasian club in that HS would be "Cracker Club" since that is what it would be called anyhow.

'Cracka' offends me about as much as 'awesome dude' offends black guys.

Instead of perpetuating it though, I usually call attention to how lame it is.
