If you are running dual monitors, use a single video card that supports them.

Use a simple A-B switch to use the 27 inch monitor.

I really like my 27 inch Gateway Destination Monitor. For $319 it is much nicer than any TV (of any comparable price) and very close to HDTV quality. It is excellent for DVDs and gaming.

However, don't expect it to look as good as your computer monitor. It is certainly not flat-screen and the resolution is only 600x800 at 60hz (so turn your fluorescent lights off). Since you sit 5-8 feet away, it looks fine (I am using it now to type this - text is sharp).

<< One suggestion is that you have IDENTICAL monitors for dual displays...at work I used to have two 19" monitors from different manufacturers...it wasn't as good as having dual displays with identical monitors >>

How so? I have a Samsung 700NF and a Viewsonic GF775 sitting together in dual mode and it works perfectly.

He was just saying that with identical monitors, the picture looks exactly the same, as opposed to slight differance in differant monitors, especially if they are differant sizes.

There is plenty of time between my bumps, so I am not bumpong too often. If you mean I have bumped it too many times, I usually bump about 3 times a day.
