Maybe you should just tune it up real good? Or rebuild the carb?Originally posted by: Rich3077
Most of my life I dreamed of owning a muscle car... good old Detroit steel.
Now that I am older I cant afford the gas in any way shape or form.
I have a new passion towards imports.... but they never will replace the original
muscle cars for me.
My daily driver was a 78 tbirb for the last 5 years... 5 MPG in the city tops.
I am still trying to sell the car for $600 and it is damn near perfect.... nobody wants to buy
a gas guzzling car right now.
Car has a 351M ( alone worth the price ) Runs perfect.. burns NO oil. Suspention is PERFECT.... will go 100 MPH with no vibration.
BRAND NEW tires and wheels,.... over $500 alone... tires still have the bumpy little knobs on them.
This car was appraised at over $5k a few years ago. Now NOBODY wants it.
Peace
Rich
It should get better mileage than that. Even my Crown Vic with a 302 gets 18 mpg in the city.
Actually most people consider the 351M to be nearly worthless. It is not related to the 351 Windsor or the 351 Cleveland in any way. There are performance parts for it but, you would be better off building the 400 then, which is basically the same engine just bigger.
I agree with most of what you said... but the car is solid/golden.
been 100% show rebuilt before.... now its considered junk.
If you wanna talk about the car please call 313-598-0688
I work nights so please only call late at night.
Peace
Rich

Not even, Rice is like the Dork that attends Trekkie Conventions and waits in line for weeks to be the first in line for the latest Star Wars Movie!Originally posted by: Demon-Xanth

If that's the case, rice is like the dork who buys the $200 Nike shoes, gets Nike pants, gets Nike shirts, sweat band, socks, and all that crap and still can't make a shot.

One of my bosses wants us to put an ignition switch into his 71 hemi cuda. I told him " I'll do it for free if you let me take it for a drive?" Boss said "I'll take you for a drive" I thought he might have heard me wrong but now that I think about it...![]()
Only word I use to descibe it was OMFG!
He sold a AAR Plum Crazy Cuda with a 340 6 pack to buy this one. He said the AAR was much nicer shape than his present one but this one looks almost showroom so I imagine his AAR must have mint. I'll get pics of it next time I see it.
Kinda like what I said before too (When Magnum really meant something [440 wedge])... when HEMI really meant somethingOriginally posted by: thraxes

vi: depends on how you define muscle. I'd call the GTO muscle. And I'll have to wait on if the Magnum would be too.
