Well, I'm about 70 now, but a few years ago I would float between 40 and 45.

But, playing soccer 2-4hrs/day 6 days a week for 10 months of the year will do that for you!

Ridiculously high. My rest is usually 70-100. I've actually been turned away from giving blood because of it.

I'm a tiny guy so you wouldn't think it has to move the blood around that much... (6', ~140lbs)
Man I need to excersise more.

I measured three right now, sitting at my desk at work. I got 86 the first two times and 83 the third time. I've always had a very high heartrate though.

If I've been resting for a while it'll get down into the 60's. Mine is usually around 90 or higher, and that's not when I'm doing a lot of work.

Just took mine twice while sitting at my desk.

70 the first time when checking my pulse in my neck.

68 checking it in my wrist

Which one are you supposed to check for an accurate reading, or does it matter?

Getting HR's in the mid 40's is a *very* difficult task.

The lowest I ever got mine down to was 48, and this was when I was running 20k races and running over 100 miles a week.

My wife's resting heartrate is in the mid 40 bpm range.

resting pulse is normally around 150bps (active goes up to around 200), before you say that's strange, know that it runs in my family, and most of us live to be well over 90yrs old. (melenoma/vehicle accidents being the only exceptions to the rule) with no history of heart problems in any of my kin.

Are you a hummingbird?
my doctor jokes about that one too. LOL
He said it's not common, but it does occur in a little less than 1% of Americans. according to him he has 3 other patients (not related to me) that have the same thing, all of us are perfectly healthy.

Okay, woke up to alarms, beat them into submission, laid back down, and got 64. I guess that's not too bad for someone who hasn't seen aerobic exercise in the last 8 years or so.

That seems pretty damn low. I'm a skinny guy, and at 6'1" I weigh around 185. I could stand to loose 15lbs (I've been piling on calories and protein to bulk up), but not 60!

Anyway, my relaxed HR was 62, and my ave. resting HR throughout the day goes about 65-72.
