I don't see an option for GEOS. Anyone remember GEOS? It's the first OS AOL started out on.

Excuse me, but what is "Win98 FE"

Still using Win98, switching to a multi-boot Win98SE and Win2K soon.

FE stands for "first edition" as opposed to "second edition"

And I'm still waiting for a BeOS option on the poll. I refuse to relegate BeOS to "other".

edit: you can also use another f-word in FE

I gotta give it up for Win2k. The best OS I've had the pleasure of using. I've always hated MS for putting out such garbage as win95/98, but when I ran win2k for 2 months with 1 crash, i was sold.

As mentioned earlier, AmigaOS was super simple and bulletproof. In the 3 years I had my Amiga 500 (souped up with a whopping 1MB RAM) I don't think it ever crashed. That being said, Windowz 98SE as long as I keep it lean and don't put in too much crap (I reformat and reinstall every month or two) is about as solid as I could expect as well...being more a home user/gamer and not a hard core tech head. (the biggest tweaks I give it is a fixed swap file and set up the file system as a network server)

if you're lookng for games, Win98 SE.
if you want apps, Win2K PRO.
if you don't have any money for either, Linux(don't get me wrong, i love linux, especially because it's free, unlike the next choice)
if you're running a server and have an unlimited budget, Win2K Adv Server. with a budget: linux baby, yeah=)
this is just imho, and i keep in mind that i haven't used beos or DOS enough to know anything other than how to get around in it.

DOS 6.22 sucks that it was shortlived and over casted by Windows.
Currently, my fav is Win2k cuz of it's stability.
