it's neither... it's how the person acts and what they are known for

You could join first and have a huge post count and still be a jackass no one likes or listens to.

Whether you add it or not, I'm saying neither. The quality of a person's post is much more important than either the number of posts they've made or when they joined.

Sounds like immature penis waving. I don't think it should matter at all, only fools think that that join date or post count directly correlate with the content of the post.

Now I know why you have dumb insecure kids who try to powerlevel their post count up.

The secret to running an intelligent forum is to remove post counts entirely. That takes away the incentive for children to try to ratchet their counts up by blathering endlessly when they have nothing to say. 1 post that's well thought-out and offers useful information is worth more than 10,000 nefs.

Everyone would leave. And they don't want that.

Neither matter at all. Some people live on here and know nothing, others are intelligent. I would look more at content of replies than # of posts or join date. They are both equally useless statistics.

neither...

Sharing ideas, techniques, tips, tricks and hints are what make this community excellent. Sure, OT and Hot Deals are probably the leading drivers of posts, but I like to think it's about quality, not quantity (I also only have 1.7 PPD.. :p)

Absolutely neither matter to me. I trust people based on their actual posts, not join dates or post counts. For an example, if I need to know the best info about cars, I'll trust Roger, etc. etc.
