<< corporate = pirated >>

Not necessarily. I can guarantee you that my copy is perfectly legitimate. Every piece of software I have is.

Not really. Almost every business bigger than a sole-proprietership is eligible to get the corporate version. You just can't buy it retail.

That may be but are the employees allowed to install it on their own computers for their personal use?

XP Corporate....took me just 5hrs to "buy" ;)

<< Russ, can you say what you like better about 2000 instead of XP or what your reason is for not using XP? >>

I'll tell you my own experience, if you have 2k, stick with it. The only thing better in XP is better hardware support and faster boot times, but the interface is just plain fugly, even reverting to "classical" or putting a skin on is still not as good as win2k.

Next reformat I am going back to 2k for sure.

One thing I love about Pitt, the MS software is FREE! :) XP Pro, Office XP, Visual Studio, all I have to do is let them swipe my student ID so they can mark me off as having a copy. (Can't have on person getting more than one copy now.)

That's what I'm saying... My school gives it out as well... I asked my teacher for Win2k, I assumed he would give me pro, he gave me Pro, Server, and Advanced Server and said "here you go, they're all free anyways"

I use XP Pro (regular) <--- got it free from student M$ rep on campus :) It says "not for retail distribution" on the cd.
