I use corporate because I believe WPA is an invasion of my privacy, AND a major pain in the ass.

Russ, can you say what you like better about 2000 instead of XP or what your reason is for not using XP?

Nothing, really. Perfomance and stability are about the same. XP is an excellent operating system. There just isn't anything in it that would motivate me to go through the hassle of formatting my perfectly functioning Win2K machine and doing an XP install.

I voted Non-XP, but I legally have the the Corporate version. I just haven't bothered to install it. 2K is on my work laptop, and 98SE is on my gaming system at home. Of course, with the problems I'm having with RTCW crashing all the time, I may be reinstalling my home system. Maybe I'll actually upgrade...

I have the .NET beta... through my company but it is suck right now. I run XP Pro ($54 deal from MS) that I also got because of my company.

I have the Windows 2000 version of XP.

I use Windows 2000 Professional on my system as well as on my brother's system. Simply absolutely no reason to use XP. Uses more resources than Win2K, has more initial bloat, has more annoying things like defaultly enabled MSN messenger, etc. Don't need all that crap.

Windows XP Home Edition. I don't have much of a need for the features that the Pro version includes, and I'm certainly not going to pay 100 bucks or more for it...

I'm using Pro regular db'ed with W2K on my main system (hardly ever boot to W2K), Pro RC2 on a second, and W2K on a third. I'll probably install the home ver on the RC2 system when it runs out. Sticking with W2K on the third.

XP Pro, but it's a University copy, so no activation. I'm not sure if that's technically corporate or not. The only reason I went to XP was for compatability with some games. If the University of Pittsburgh didn't give the OS away free I would not have bothered with it though.

I used to run corporate. Microsoft sent me XP free because of that retail giveaway. So I'm legal for now except when i format, i can't install the legal version. I lost the cd at home or left it a friend's house who got in on the same deal.
