NVIDIA Soundstorm on Asus A7N8X 2.0 Deluxe
Hooked up via Coaxial Spdif to my Onkyo TX-SR501 HT reciver
4x 52SI Addato BIC speakers and 1x 32CLR center channel BIC speaker
Forgot the Sub, it's an ancient 200 watt 12" Powered Sub by Altec Lansing (like 10+ years old) still works good though :p

You kinda sound like a geek ^^

Ha Ha Ha Ha...Wow that one was really funny...Shows your mentality. Go ask mommy and daddy if you can use the TV in the family room or does the porn on the 50" scare you????

I disagree with this. With exceptions though. In general I think general HT and stereo stuff is not as good as the ProMedia's (and other near feild speakers for that matter) for computer use. At least in my case. I (and probably most computer users) sit pretty close to the speakers. And thats what they are designed for. I have some pretty snazzy equipment in my HT and while a single speaker from it costs more then my entire computer I would not want to use them as speakers for my computer. Heck, on my main system I have speaker cable that costs more then the ProMedias, but I still prefer the ProMedias for comp use.

However when people want to use their comps for movies with surround and they are sitting further away then I think hooking up normal HT or stereo components can make sense.

But for general computer usage (games and MP3s in my case) I think the ProMedias (and other high quality computer or near feild speakers) will work much better then HT or general stereo stuff.
