POLL: What res do you typically run for web browsing/ general computing?

1024x768 - with a pair of LCD screens (1 desktop & 1 laptop), I don't have much of a choice unless I want a blurry picture 😀

wow, 1600x1200 is WAY too tiny on a 19", but then again I'm nearsighted which means that everything you see through glasses (or contacts) appears smaller and further away

I would disagree personally, I would rather have 16x12 on my 17" samsung syncmaster, but the refresh would only be at 60hz so i don't bother...1280x1024 on here is perfectly visible though

1280x1024x32 w/ ClearType on my 1900FP. Its my panel's native, but was also my preferred resolution on my G420....1600x1200 looked like my icehole at that res. Nothing worse than playing "Pixel Hunter" on your desktop 😛

now i see no flickering

150Hz? What kind of setup is that?

I'm surprised 1280x1024 is a "standard" resolution, as it's not even a 4:3 aspect ratio. I'm running 1280x960 @ 100hz on my 19, 1024x768 @ 75 on my 17. Any more than 85 on the 17 and it causes the 19 to flicker. :Q

I used to use 1280x1024, but I couldn't stand the geometry problems I got from my cheap monitor. I now use 1024x768@85Hz.

Native res of TFT displays around here, typically from 640x480 on system anunciator to 1900x1200 on a few of the workstations.

Cheers!

Same here on a 19"
1280*960 is ideal for a 19", I think. I don't know why people run 1280*1024... the aspect ratio is wrong and images are distorted.
