Poll: What music do you dislike the most?

Well what is it. Rap, country, Techno, Boybands, hardcore. What one style of music would you choose to get rid of if you could. I thought of this after being too lazy to get up to change the channel when some horible video ("Get your Freak On" was the name) came on. If you're wondering I can't find the remote.

I'm a huge music person and all my friends have suddenly gone to be "hardcore" so they're all going punk but the actual punk music is absolutely horrible. It's probably the least artistic form of music there is, next to country

1) Punk
2) Country

(for the record, I like heavy metal, classic rock and reall good techno [that doesn't mean trance!]).

Country.. can't stand it. Stupid thing is for AcaDec next year.. the music we have to study is Country.. don't know if I even wanna take that class because of that anymore.

I used to hate all rap but recently I've found myself actually enjoying a select # of tracks.... I will say though, the rap that sounds like it's just a person talking with a repetitive thump in the backround.. I guess I coulndn't say that's my most hated kind of music though, since it really doesn't classify as music to begin with.

country-music-hate is all messed up, nowadays 'young' country is just pop with country accent vocals, and if you listen to top 40//contempoary/pop/whatever you call it, then you cannot diss country

what i dispise most is crap white man's rap being played on 'rock' radio stations...at first it was just Korn and RATM, then with Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach it got annoying, but finally our local 'new rock' radio station started playing Eminem...just insane. if the 'rap' is good enough, go play it on hip-hop radio stations, no need to be complacent and play it on rock stations just cause the artists are white and hip-hop stations traditionally playing black artists' work won't

Ha Ha you can't even call the new crap Punk.Old school is the real deal.
Anything that is marketed for the masses and shoved down your throat by corporations is suck.

i'll take britney and jessica and mandy any day 😛

Country is based on words and so is rap... so how can one hate country and love rap or vise-versa? One of the main reasons I love heavy metal is because you can't exactly hear the words. I get a lot of flak for saying this but I'm completely serious. How is a song going to last more than a week if you know the words after listening to it a select amount of times. Even if it takes 100 listenings to hear the words, you're still going to get bored of it after hearing it after those 100 listenings so I guess what I'm saying is how can someone stand songs where you can plainly hear the lyrics? In other words (maybe this is just with me or something) but I think that a song based on clear lyrics is only going to be popular for a very limited time because the lyrics can be remembered. Lyrics are simple and digital while music is endless and analog.

I have a similar view in that I think more meaning can come from the "vibe" the song puts out. And this "vibe" can transcend what can, our could, be said through words. In a lot of the rock songs I like, the words just enhance the mood and feelings the songs puts out.

I voted Country this time.

I just love it when I get in my cousins truck to go somewhere with him 😛
I think he has every country cd ever made, scary

hmm...i can listen to pretty much anything, even foreign music, but if i had to choose one, i'd choose country as the music i dislike the most...but that may soon change...

Any of the Boy Band Crap, Followed by the new Country Music (Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard and that stuff is cool) and then Phony Rappers like Eminem.Marshall Mathers is about on the same level and Jerry Mathers as the Beav.

Real country music. I can stand Faith Hill or Shania, but they are just pop stars disguising themselves as country artists. Real country drives me up the wall.

I'm not a big fan of the 80's hair bands either.🙂

Easy listening, christian easy listening, bubblegum pop, country with trite lyrics, any "boo hoo I've got it so rough in the suburbs" teen metal, any good song that's bastardized into elevator music.

Pat Boone needs to be shot, btw. Tie him and all of Oasis to a big rock and push it off a pier.

I used to say rap, but then I actually listened to some of it (like the "Gorillaz&quot😉 and I changed my mind.

Damn near anything done in the last 10yrs. There is a number of recent bands who don't even try to sing, just scream. It's awful.

God I sound like my parents! Just you wait, 30yrs from now you'll be hearing yourself say the same thing!
