I like Gospel music and country.......
listen to some rock, rap and whatever sounds good at the time...
but my main music is Gospel and country

I really am a music person and tend to like alotta music. Unfortunately i've never really gotten into country music... My girlfriend loves it and makes me listen to it once in a while, i still haven't gotten used to it and don't find it to be the best of music genres

Yes I can, and I will. I don't care if country has tried to become more like pop, pop still doesn't use the steel guitar and the singers don't all sing in strong southern accents.

Music I used to dislike the most was country, until the arrival of the Backstreet Boys... all these boy and teenage hoe bands I hate with a passion...

I really, really dislike country, but . . .

My least-favorite genre must be aimless hippie music only enjoyed by people stoked to the gills on acid and ecstasy (e.g., the Dead, Phish, et al).

Close behind is the rap/thrash non-music that has become trendy in the past few years (e.g., Limp Bizkit). I can understand how this stuff gets angry teens fired up but I can see nothing musical about it. True punk music can be great - this stuff is just derivative trash.

I hate Country Western Music. Mostly because its whiney, or someone cheated on someone, or someone's dog died, or their mother got hit by a train. But generally I don't like any music that is depressing. Life can be depressing at times the way it is, so why have depressing music. Upbeat music always puts me in a better mood.

This is a tough one. I hate modern pop-country. Garth Brooks, The Dixie Chicks as well as other groups siliar to those make brain-draining music. It's pure rubbish. However, I do enjoy country artists like Willie Nelson. Some alternative country like the Old 97s is pretty good too. I hate most rap music. Some is okay, but most is pure crap. Almost all rock on the radio sucks. Matchbox 20, Third Eye blind, and similar so-called artists need some serious artistic help. Boy bands and anything else Top 40 sucks too. I really can't turn on the radio or MTV anymore. Thank the Lord for MP3s.

Theres a lot of old music I hate (all types.. minus some old classical music and some 80s music).

As for now though, rap disgusts me, i hate r&amp;b but i respect it, i hate country, i hate most pop, and damnit, rap sucks.. wait did i say that already? well if not, then rap sucks, fyi.

Country by far. I like hip hop, rock, R and B, jazz and even classical. But country flat out sucks. My wife likes that slop though.

I'm with all you non-word people. I don't even know the lyrics to some of my favorite songs because I really just don't care about 'em. When I do like the words it's because they 'sound' good, not because of any meaning they have.

I used to hate rap because it can be really boring listening to an endless beat, but recently I've learned to appreciate *some* of it by listening more to the words.

The music I hate the most is the kind thats all slow and mellow and has no 'substance' in it but an occasional high-pitched soft &quot;tsss...&quot; from a drum, and lots of high-skilled crazy singing like &quot;oooeaaaaeoyeaeoyeaeoyeaeo&quot; ascending and descending stuff. Drives me crazy.

I listen to just about everything. I worked at the bar of a &quot;hardcore&quot; club hwere local bands would play. That was a little too much to take sometimes. Especially the &quot;Save the Emus&quot; groupie crowd that came in with them.

I don't really like any of the ones mentioned in your poll, though older country is alright sometimes. I mostly only listen to Classic Rock and Classical. And mostly only songs that have good lyrics. I don't like a song, most of the time, that doesn't have decent words to the music (unless it is classical of cource).

RAP and anything that resembles it bites the big one. Electronic-Techno-Dance Club is best.
