Do you drink tap water directly or do you filter it? What filter do you use?

I'm an RO guy myself, even though it wastes water.

Love the RO stuff. Water tastes so sweet and good, even when warm! Purchasing a RO/DI filter was one of the best moves I made all year...

You bet!

BUT, I'm partial to the wet kind, followed closely by the clean kind, and whenever possible, I like the filtered kind too.

And what better filter is there than the human kidney?

A filter at the bottled company + kidney.

That is often slightly worse than tap water, as far as contaminants go. Less regulation means that companies cut corners.
Tap water is almost always safer than bottled water, and often tastes just as good or better (I find Evian to have an objectionable bitter note, most of the rest taste OK). Results may vary by municipal water supply and/or piping.

Considering that the tap water we have where i live, when i'm home, is exceptionally good (just like in most of Europe, except Spain and Italy) that is what i drink.

Would i drink US tap water... probably not.

Many parts of the US have better water than many parts of Europe. Your pipes are just too old and your populations too dense for most countries to have good-tasting water.

The Nordic countries, Switzerland, and Iceland are the exceptions, but other than that, every single time that I drank the tap water in Europe, it tasted much worse than in Seattle.

Of course, in your case you're probably afraid of Yankee-cooties. Can't help you there.

I once signed a petition to ban di-hydrogen oxide.

This deadly chemical is responsible for the death of nearly 600,000 infants per year, worldwide. it's found on every continent and pollutes nearly every surface that humans habit!

I have a Britta pitcher that I use all the time. My tap water tastes like pool water (especially in the summer).

Usually Evian or Eska bottled water but if not then I buy whatever no-fluoride water I can find, I also look at the mineral content and source - I'll choose a source that comes from close to my location before one that is imported.

After drinking that water, tap water is absolutely disgusting.

I'm more of an Artisan Water person myself. It is crafted from the purest organic-only springs using ancient artisan process and filtered through a yak's bladder to produce a superior water.

yeah, but aren't they kinda hard to change? and possibly expensive?

I live in the city and I use a Brita pitcher most of the time. I actually sort of prefer the slightly rusty taste of well water at my old house in the country, and the chlorinated city water tastes weird to me. Thus, the Brita filter (though I know it's not necessary).
