I get over as soon as I can. People who zip all the way up and then expect to be let in can go f*ck themselves.

Wrong. In all states, the driver already established in their lane has the legal right-of-way. If you attempt to force your cutting in, the accident would be your fault. Back o' the queue, mate!Originally posted by: Ylen13
i cut in driver and unless u want to hit me i usually will force you to let me in

If I see someone waiting their turn to merge, I let them in. However, if they are trying to beat everyone, I stop at nothing to not let them infront of me...

yes u are correct but how many people want to be involved in a car accident and then deal with insurance company and bodyshop to get the car repair.
When you and your insurance company are the ones paying for it all? "Original pre-accident condition," it's the law. Enjoy.Originally posted by: Ylen13

All of you are suckers! The lane is clear for 3 miles ahead and you've already all merged. I'll save myself that half an hour of waiting and just cut in at the front. I figured there'd be more people like me on AT, I guess I Was wrong. Have fun seeing me fly by you and get to where I'm going 30 minutes sooner.
Further evidence that a "safe" society is a rude society.Originally posted by: SP33Demon
Ever heard the saying, nice guys finish last? Well that would be all of you people who wait... and so what, if one person doesn't let me in, eventually some idiot will. Overall when u are let in, you'll be waaaaaay far ahead of the passive people who waited in line. And I'll still save myself a half hour in the process while you're picking your nose 25 cars back behind the tractor trailers cursing at people like me under your breath b/c u don't have the balls to get ahead in life. Suckers![]()

I hate people who don't understand merging -- ESPECIALLY those who insist on driving up the shoulder or median the entire length and try to cut in at the last minute. I make very sure that they don't get in, at least nowhere near me.
I drive an old car and am probably gonna get a new one by the end of the year. I plan to retire my current car in one of 2 ways. 1.) Large insurance settlement by slamming on my brakes to 'avoid hitting an animal in the road' while being tailgated. Or trade-in. I'm leaning toward the former method because I get tailgated a lot and I can make some money while I'm at itOriginally posted by: Moonbeam
Some poor woman tried to ride through a fourway stop sign on the tail of the car in front of her thinking she could take my turn. I tore the side of her car off while popping a small piece of rubber off my bumper. She tired to get me to pay, but that didn't work either.
Naturally such happiness has calmed me down. I'm more of the opinion, now, that people shouldn't have to pay the price to fanatics like me. I experiment with things like total curtesy, letting people in when they want in, helping them get over when they want, stopping for people crossing the street, stopping to wait for a cat that's hiding under a car to cross, etc. Allowing myself to be a bit insane helps to tame it a bit I think.
Idealy I wish I were completely unconscious of the two kinds of drivers.
My buddy moved to Oregon and had to stop cutting in because he was the only one in the entire neighborhood where he lived that was doing it.Peer pressure and a lack of anonymity work wonders. We have to find out how to be our own public sinceit's us who really hates us the most for how we are.
