That is a good question, the overlap on the games is so large, with a good PC why own a 360? A fair amount of "exclusives" it has are just PC ports. I guess if you are a Halo, Gears or Forza guy (lol @ Fable) it makes some sense. surely not for Kinect or paying to play online right?

Paying to play online...sometimes everyone you know has only a 360 so when you wanna hop in a game with them you have to pay for Gold. That's the only reason I have it.

I use 360 primarily. The most apparent reason is because that's what everyone i know plays on. Out of my circle of friends and family, i only have one cousin with a PS3. All other friends, family, teammates, classmates, etc have 360's.

Without that, the only reason i would have to play consoles at all would be exclusives, and sports games (which i would play on 360 because prefer that controller).

Pretty good description here. I can't stand the PS3 controller, so I only get PS3 games if that's the only system it is available for. Graphics between the two are negligible.

The PC is preferred over all consoles, except for a couple types of games where the controller is handy to have (sports games, etc).

I don't buy the controller issue, I go back and forth all the time and the difference isn't noticeable IMO. The triggers on the DS3 are easy to fix. The D-pad on the 360 isn't, but most games don't use it. The bumpers and face buttons on the DS3 are better, but that is negligible.

I prefer the PS3 analog sticks for some reason. Plus the face buttons feel better. My Xbox buttons after much use get a slight sticky feeling when pressed in and have a very slight click on them. Almost like they're worn out.

BTW: The D-pad on the Limited Edition Halo 4 Xbox360 controllers is different. The pad is raised up higher and more precise. It also feels a bit tighter so it's actually usable.

I think this is more or less what I expected. As a 360 owner it sure seems the PS3 exclusives are better (Halo is top shelf but the other 360 exclusives don't really do it for me personally) and I'm highly inclined to open it up for that reason, though probably use the 360 for games that exist on both.

So you don't agree so you don't believe it?

I own all 3. Yes, the 360 controller is far superior...for me. The weight, size, and the superior placement of the analog sticks, plus, yes, superior triggers makes it worth it. I can't remember the last time the D-pad was an issue for me in a game *shrug*, it really isn't outside of 2d fighters.

You don't agree, fine, but it's perfectly valid for plenty of others.

For those of you who favor the Xbox, do you not have a gaming PC?

Nope, I have a gaming pc, ps3, xbox 360, wii. Most my friends and family are on 360, so I game on it most. Actually, it's been 50/50 since I been playing a ton of D3 still on my pc.

The Wii is there for the Nintendo games, which I'm done with after I finish, the PS3.. I got it to game with some other family members and friends and wanted to play some of the exclusives, but I'm finding it difficult these days to get into any single player game.

Also, I'm going to say that I like Xbox's online interface better than PS3. It's worth the Xbox live fee. Maybe, it's just party chat, but at this point.. it would take party chat and conversion from all my friends and family to ps3 for me to move over there.

My PS3 is only used for blu-ray. Our Xbox's are used by the entire family every day. I only play Call of Duty anymore and prefer Live and party chat over PSN. The Xbox controller seems much more comfortable to me also.

360 by a significant amount. i haven't gamed on pc in close to a decade other than playing some sf4 when it was new.

recently though i've been turning my ps3 on a lot more than my 360, simply because i haven't been gaming recently but have been watching a lot of streamed media from my pc.

I recently sold my 360 and bought a PS3. I did it mainly to have access to MLB The Show series with uncertainty of MLB having a 2013 game available on the 360.

I use my console for NHL and Baseball and Call of Duty now with some friends that have ps3's

Everything else I play on PC.

80% pc, 20% ps3. Wii hasnt been turned on in a year.

I do miss the 360 controller and Interface. Not a fan of the ps3 controller or the PS UI. For some reason, NHL 13 seemed to look better on my 360 than it does on my PS3 too, which is odd.

We bought my son a 360 for his birthday last October (a year ago), and he used it moderately before the kids got a PS3 for Christmas from their uncle. It has received non-stop use since. He let his Gold subscription expire because he only used it for Netflix. I think he just mostly made new friends on the PSN but never really on the 360. I personally got more used to the PS3 controller and find the triggers on the 360 to require too much effort, but I can certainly see how people would get used to the 360 and feel the opposite.

Good question. I use to be a big time PC gamer who swore off ever playing a FPS without a mouse and keyboard, but once a lot of my friends started switching over to the 360 and pushed me to make the switch, I decided to get one. I still have a gaming PC, albeit slightly dated now, and I still play some games on it especially if I want to fire up some Quake 3, Quake Live, or something on Steam. Most new releases that my friends and I want to play are bought for the 360 though.

I actually buy more games for my PC than consoles now for the superior graphics usually and more options for controls. With a lot of top tier games being on PC too now, more than I remember a few years ago anyway, it makes sense for me to get them on PC if possible since I did spend a lot more on it. Unless the game is just a terrible port or something anyway.

I have consoles for games I can't play on the PC, which means the PS3 gets the most use for me.

also on PS3... Playstation Plus. It's like Xbox Live Gold but they give you free games, tons of discounts on games, free themes, exclusive games that regular PSN users don't have access to, timed trial games (download and play the full game for a certain period of time kind of like a demo. very useful for games without demos or games that have limited demos that don't give you enough of a feel for the game).

Absolutely destroys XBox Live in services offered. People can claim party chat and whatever they want, but Microsoft doesn't have 18 games available free to members. Some of them very good titles.

You keep telling yourself that. I don't want 100 shitty free games, I want unified chat. PSN Plus is so worthless, it's not even funny.

XBL >>> PSN Plus all day long...every day.

It's not 100 shitty games. Maybe you should know what you're talking about before you run your mouth. Microsoft is bending you over and you enjoy it. You have to pay to use Netflix and other services to start with which is pretty retarded. There is zero reason you need to pay $60/year to use Netflix on your Xbox or any of the other 3rd party apps. Plus the new Xbox Music service, it's free on Windows 8 but you can't even use it on Xbox unless you sign up for Gold. That's just lame.

I've been an Xbox live member since the beta rolled out on the original and if it weren't for Halo and now Forza, I wouldn't bother.

Voice chat is fucking lame anyway. Everyone falls into two categories. Dick heads and kids. Why you want to talk to them is beyond me. I don't even really talk to my friends on there, when we play Halo it's pretty silent cause everyone is concentrating on their job.

1. I don't give a shit about Netflix. I dumped that crap service long ago.
2. XBox music service? I didn't even know they had some goofy music service.

I pay for XBL for one reason and one reason only, a great chat experience. Do you play co-op games? It sucks without a good chat service. And you trying to downplay that just sounds like a PSN sales job. I've had XBL since the original XBox and I've also been using PSN since the release of the PS3. There is no comparison. If you just like to play strangers online, the PSN is fine. If you like playing friends online, PSN f@cking sucks. I can't even get 3 people in one room on SFIV to chat without CONSTANT voice break ups. So f@cking frustrating! I don't give a crap about the junk shovel ware Sony wants to dump off on their customers to give a perceived value of their PSN. I just want an essential feature of online gaming to work properly, voice chat. It sucks on the PSN, and it sucks bad.

If you're paying 60 per year for xbl gold you're doing it wrong. Very wrong.

I haven't paid 60 for it either but not everyone is going to wait for a special deal on it when you basically need Gold to do anything of any worth on Xbox so they have to buy it when their current subscription runs out.

I'd rather have all those free games than a solid chat client. I tend to roll solo a lot so that might have something to do with that, but yeah I found a lot more value in PS+ than XBL.
