I would most likely be one of those ones who dont before an engagement rather than marriage, but who knows, a hot girl could come along that I cant keep away from.

Enlighten us. What practical reason could there possibly be for not kissing?

Ahhh, the wonderful acclimation of sex as a more in a Judeo-Christian guilt driven materialistic capitalistic (paradoxically surface level puritantical) society that takes a natural act and breeds guilt into the perpetrators of said act as a way of controllling said populace into following patricachal/mysoginistic norms that cast females who express their sexuality as whores and men who do as players.

Personally, I find it amusing that kissing would not be acceptable before marriage but that hand holding would be or any physical contact or even worse emotional connection and approaching the seven circle would be the daring of those couples who emotionally connect because of course kissing is far more intimate that emotional love

HMMM, now that my bombastic, condescending self-pontificating diatribe has been completed I need a cigarette ... and a date.

Sometimes I really don't know that I belong in this country. This whole idea just seems ridiculous to me. I find it hard to believe that something like 20% of the people here voted "yes." What a world!

I like what Mark Twain said in "Letters From the Earth"...

For instance, take this sample: he has imagined a heaven, and has left entirely out of it the supremest of all his delights, the one ecstasy that stands first and foremost in the heart of every individual of his race -- and of ours -- sexual intercourse!

It is as if a lost and perishing person in a roasting desert should be told by a rescuer he might choose and have all longed-for things but one, and he should elect to leave out water!
To wit, that the human being, like the immortals, naturally places sexual intercourse far and away above all other joys -- yet he has left it out of his heaven! The very thought of it excites him; opportunity sets him wild; in this state he will risk life, reputation, everything -- even his queer heaven itself -- to make good that opportunity and ride it to the overwhelming climax. From youth to middle age all men and all women prize copulation above all other pleasures combined, yet it is actually as I have said: it is not in their heaven; prayer takes its place.

There's a whole lot more, but I think this is most relevant. I don't understand why religion tries to make everything so sacred. Everything that is a natural instinct is suddenly driven by the devil. I'll take hell over heaven if it means actually living my life instead of being afraid to live it.

What scares me further more is that ATOT is way more modern on issues like this... most of the time... I thought.

Meh, I'm a hardcore Christian and there's definitely not 20% of Christians that are on this track. Since AT is definitely less than 20% of any type of Christian, I'm not trusting these poll results much.

They can do whatever they want, whatever blows your hair back. Sorry, I like to test drive, and go under the hood, and check things out before I settle down.
