My telco is Verizon, so that's who provides my actual DSL connect. I've had to talk to them a couple of times, and most of the techs I've reached, there, have been dumber than a rock. :p

I have the same experience with Speakeasy. Excellent techs that don't have routines to work you through. They are more expensive tho but I like that Covad provides the serivce and not Verizon. Plus, can't beat two static IPs.

Roadrunner here

( I get a discount rate via NYS Teacher's Union) - sometimes it is good to work as a techie at a school district! ;)

SurfCity DSL via Verizon. Although the connection is stable, I do miss the lower latency and higher upstream that I had with cable before ComCrap took over AT&T. Also SurfCity's CS is the best I've ever dealt with.

I use Comcast and it's near perfect. I don't think it has as much to do with the ISP as it does your local company and the line conditions in your area.

Switching from TDS Metrocom to Earthlink today. I'll be losing upload speed (768 / 768 DSL), but I'll be going to 3mb dl!
