Did it today. It's not that I couldn't stand not having access, but it gave me an excuse to spend the money (VERY poor student) after I said a million times I would after the subscriber service was rolled out.

Actually, it makes a huge difference even on dial-up.

I can agree with that. I used to think that you'll only notice a difference with broadband but since my DSL is fscked up I've been using 56k dialup from home for about a week. The speed is acceptable on 56k.

Just don't go out looking for butter sized threads and you'll be fine.
