I only ever kept socks on for sleeping when I was winter camping in cold-ass weather. Can't stand having them on in bed. I hate the feeling of the sheets clinging to them when I try to move my feet.

I was wondering if there aren't synthetic materials that wouldn't drag and hang on bedsheets - much like the way our skin doesn't.

Something like Lycra Spandex should slide easily. Maybe ones made with synthetic microfibers?

Usually on, but not always. Sometimes I sleep with blanket off too, depending on temperature.

Socks when I don't shower before bed(winter sometimes/some weekends). Otherwise, no socks. IOW, if I'm wearing socks before bed, they go to bed with me.

I haven't worn pjs since I was a teen. And most of the underwear I have is microfiber so it's soft and slides easily.

Satin is just a tight weave I think. Sometimes it might be silk but not if don't specifically tell you that it's silk.

Silk is nice but it would have be mixed with a more elastic fiber like Spandex. That could work as a material for slippery socks.
