Poll: Should Twin Towers come back?

if you put the twin towers back. many family of 9-11 victims will bitch and moan and say they're trying to erase it happened or that they are diminishing the significance of the event. i live in NYC. i feel bad for those whose family member died in the tragedy. but sometimes i feel they should STFU. the bitch and moan and complain about every little thing that we as a city try to do. recovery ending? they bitch. we build a memorial? they bitch and moan. building a freedom tower? bitch and moan. building twin towers? bitch and moan.

A year after the attacks, I would have said yes just to show the rest of the world. Now, it does not matter to me. The whole issue has become a power struggle of NYC's rich and powerful.

I don't know but that would mess up air traffic more. There are three major airports next to the city.

Planes still pass by NYC when they go around to land at La guardia or JFK

The Families bitch and moan either way. no offense to them but anything that has to do with rebuilding or a memorial place there is always complains. At that rate no one is ever going to win.

I was hoping for a plan like this when they first fell. I think that rebuilding them...and not just rebuilding them, but rebuilding them ("bigger, faster, stronger" lol) taller is the best way to go about this. Certainly, IMHO the best way to raise the middle finger to the terrorists. I think, however, that for prevention, in the design they should plan for getting hit by 1.5 fully loaded A380s each instead of the original 707s. Between the two of them, that oughta cover just about anything that could happen to them, as well as any single aircraft strike.

I had no idea Trump was pushing for this till today. Many will remember I had on my website from the beginning that the Towers should be rebuilt.

But my idea was different.

To make them 109 stories each instead of the 110 because those floors are occupied in spirit of all those that perished.

The Towers back and a fitting Memorial at the same time.

Anything but that artsy freedom tower. Seriously, that Libeskind guy is no good. His work has way too much lame symbolism and other nonsense. I'd rather have something impressive which instills pride in the common person who looks at it instead of something artsy and fancy that makes art critics get aroused.

the Freedom Tower is an art piece, totally non-commercial. Land is way to valuable there.

If they want to make a statement do another Statue of Liberty piece in the ocean.

I hope Trump gets more support, both from Pataki and from the Senators. There is no doubt in my mind that most NYCers want to see the original WTC back in place.
I live there now but I never saw the WTC before it came down - a selfish reason motivates me, but the Freedom Tower in itself is not a better idea.

Considering the cost of real estate there, they should just build bigger towers with far better safety precautions. I wouldn't have a problem working there.

I would highly doubt Trump would get involved with something like this and not expect to make some money or publicity. I mean after all he is a business man. An article I read on CNN also mentioned he was going to do some type of push for this on the season finale of The Apprentice tomorrow night.
