But back on topic. I think Trump is right and I hope he can get more support. Like someone else said it would show our strength. Knock it down? Well guess what jackass, now you're country is under our control and everything is repaired. Of course this is a typical red state point of view, but even us blue people can appreciate the value in rebuilding the towers.

I can tell you here in the Big Blue, I mean Apple, people want the towers back. Personally, I like the Freedom Tower (aside from the name), I hope it gets built...just not at the WTC site.

I hope this doesn't come off to bad, but the original towers were hella ugly, and I doubt anyone would feel comfortable working or shopping there.

I wonder how people who lost loved ones on 9/11 would feel about it. I'd think it would be somewhat disturbing or emotionally upsetting to people. I vote not Twin Towers, so the freedom tower I guess, but not that name.

... The Twin Towers were designed to withstand impact with a 737 IIRC. Newer concrete composites and stronger steel composites could easily make it strong enough to withstand impact from another plane. Stronger concrete composites would also prevent the type of metal damage that was caused by burning jet fuel that ultimately did the Towers in. I would definately like to see the original towers back. Or at least teh middle finger.

Rebuild the Twin Towers exactly how they were (updated material/internal design of course), but add a huge Middle Finger up top
