What a depressing turn of events. For those that don't know, Kevin Smith will not be writing any more New Jersey/Jay and Silent Bob movies. There will be one last, "farewell flick" and everyone who has been in his previous movies will have a chance to come back.

I love all those movies. Hard to pick a fave....but I went with Chasing Amy. I love that movie....but Dogma was a close 2nd.🙂

Clerks was great i love that movie they still show it at a local thearter at midnight they call it the "brew and view" because they serve beer during the movie there's nothing better than getting drunk and watching clerks...

bigvince, so the story goes, Smith said he just wants to move on. Not make movies from a "slacker" perspective with his usual jokes. There's talk of a clerks animated film in addition to the last movie (Titles "View Askew 5" right now). He's not saying much because of what happened to the Dogma script...how it got leaked early.

So, no more so it seems. 🙁

No, that series was cancelled after 2 episodes.

This is a full-blown animated flick. Wether or not is all the episodes they made but didn't air rolled into one is another story. Hard to get details without knowing people on the inside.

He's 2/3 finished w/ the script and he's writing for another comic book. Little bit of info I found: He contributed to the Coyote Ugly script. They guy who wrote the first draft got credit but something like 5 people re-wrote it, Kevin being one of them

Dogma is awesome. It's the first (and so far, only) Kevin Smith flick I've seen. I'll be watching the others soon.
 
That sucks!!! Although I can see why. KS is a talented guy who wants to be able to make a movie without having to write in parts for Jay and SB. I'm sure "View Askew 5" will be a good finale.

Xerox Man, depends on your sense of humor but they are some solid, funny flicks. If you want a plot, there really isn't one except in Dogma and maybe Chasing Amy. Mallrats and Clerks don't really have a plot but the characters and they're interactions are great. Clerks is in black and white...doesn't bother me but it bothers some so it's worth mentioning.
