My question is how someone can still be in there. I think it's real, but it was set-up. How else could they have gotten the pictures? Did they just happen to bring a camera along while hauling all that wood? Doubtful. Next, at the first sign of crumpling, anyone would have stopped piling the wood on there and taken some off.

1) Why would anybody set this up? Destroy a car for some stupid stunt like this?
2) The man was said to not be in a right state of mind.
3) The load obviously shifted after the driver had left the hardware store. It was originally tied down on the roon, and it slid backwards onto the trunk and crushed the back.

You do realize that the pictures were probably taken by someone other than those involved?

I don't think any crumpling occured when wood was loaded....I think during the trip it slid back and caused all the problems we see.

Also they pulled into the IHOP parking lot, they weren't obviously stopping for food there....it was probably the first pull in once the guy realized he wasn't going to make it to tennessee or wherever.

2) The man was said to not be in a right state of mind.If you believed it was not set-up, of course you'd have to say he isn't mentally well

It was originally tied down on the roof, and it slid backwards onto the trunk and crushed the back. You actually think the roof would have held that much weight? There would be some serious structual damage to the driver door just from the weight. You wouldn't be able to open the front doors to get in.

I still maintain that it was set-up.

To Funny, I use to work at Home-Depot a few years back. You'd be surprised how stupid some people can be.

I hope you haven't read all the proof prior and are just stipulating....this is a very old and very well proven event.

I was at a Lowe's and watched stupidity unfold before my eyes. Some guy loaded a bunch of two by fours into his backseat. The boards were placed with the ends against one of his back windows. He then proceeds to close the door on the wood proceeding to push the lumber "out" the rear window by breaking the glass.

All evidence aside, no one who lives in that area (and would be able to take that picture) would have the photoshop skills necessary to alter a picture like that...this is Waldorf we're talking about, here...

Why would Home Depot let them put that much wood on the top of their car? And not secure it right?
