<< You don't need or want secondary fire for that type of game >>

<< why not? >>
I played UT a lot, and like it weaponry. As for Q3, all I can say is while in a good game the thought of secondary fire never came up. The pace and layout of the game keeps you busy enough. All the factors are well balanced, including weapons damage etc. Secondary fire would be a radical change. It wouldn't be Quake any more.
"UT definitely. Q3 is crazy fast.
UT also looks better, IMHO."
you make the "Q3 is crazy fast" part sound like a problem or something. thats what FPS is all about, high speed action. UT is too slow and boring.
if you reckon Q3 is crazy fast, have you even played quake 1?
i always play UT with 120%+ speed mod so UT is much faster for me than Q3. am i the only one doing it? btw, CS is anything BUT real. it merely scratches on the subject of pseudo quasi reality which is much worse than an all out sci-fi stuff where you dont have to worry about 'supposedely organized' counter-terrorists running wild and jumping around with rifles.
i like ut.... im not saying that i dont like q3 but i like all the different game styles included in the game and i like that i can dominate my uncle with a 2:5 ratio.... i give him the extra three bots just for kicks hehehe.... but we always seem to have more fun playing it... and thats my 2 cents
