My main drive is my Pioneer DVD drive (16X DVD, 40X CD). I more or less only use my CD-RW for burning.

I have an Afreey 8x DVD and a Phillips CDR. I usually end up using the CDR because it is on top.

Toshiba 12X DVD is my main drive, CD-RW is an external firewire drive I don't even bother turning on unless I'm making a CD.

I use a Pioneer 16x slot load dvd (40x cd read) for the vast majority of my tasks. I use my TDK 12/10/32 for burning and audio extraction, because it is much better optomized for audio extraction and goes much quicker.

Since I bought a CDR/W drive, I have a dual drive setup.

My primary CD drive: Toshiba 16X DVD
My secondary CD drive: Plextor 16/10/40A CDR/W

I use 3 drives as well.

My DVD and CDR drive take several seconds
to spin up and be able to access....and my CDROM driveis instant, so thats
why I still use it.

I've got these drives:
Plextor 40X SCSI - Main drive. For audio extraction and installing games
Plextor 16/10/40A - For burning CDs
Pioneer 16X - For watching DVDs. Sometimes for CD to CD copies, but rarely

Plextor 40X SCSI is the primary drive, just because its SCSI :)
