I hate Bruce Willis with a passion, ever since Moonlighting when I was wishing that Cybil Shepard would shoot the bastard. So, as you can guess, I did not see Armageddon (I will not pay to watch a Bruce Willis movie, he almost ruined Pulp Fiction for me and that was on TV, where I can fast forward his scenes).

I did like Deep Impact and it is quite realistic. I also like the character development in it. I was expecting something as nauseous as the kiddie movie Independance Day but I was pleasantly surprised.

Deep Impact was pretty cheesy in my opinion.

Another thing about Deep Impact: why was the scientist in such a huge rush to get the news out? He was acting like the Earth was going to be destroyed in the next 5 minutes if he didn't do something about it. Lame stuff. And Tea Leoni is just not good in the movie.

And yes, Armageddon has it's share of bad parts, but atleast it was entertaining.

I saw Deep Impact and it was alright, then I rented the Armageddon DVD and was so disappointed. The special effects were horrible. They had to make it as dark as possible so you couldn't see how bad they were. There were a couple good scenes in it though like the golf scene and when he chases Ben affleck around with a shotgun.

A better movie is the Fifth Element, what a blast that flick is.

Armageddon hands down. How realistic is it when you can out run a wave that high, get real. When the earth gets hit like that nothing lives remember. Wait we can live if we run up this tall hill, hahaah ya right.

In my opinion, that goes without saying

OMG - I can't believe ten people (so far) have voted for Deep Impact. That has to be just about THE worst movie I have ever had the displeasure of watching. It really was offensively sh!t :|

Armageddon was actually not that bad, although by no means a 'great' movie. Maybe 'good' or 'ok'...

Armageddon to me, was pretty bad. It was full of stupid wise-cracks and stuff. Even when they're in space, they're still joking around! Deep Impact had a better story, and was way more realistic.

Take the movies for what they were: entertainment.

Armageddon was able to keep my attention the whole way. Deep Impact's storyline seemed to drag. That's my two cents....

jaypatel, don't bother wasting your time on such a fvcking dumbass - it's not worth the trouble.

personally, I thought one of the best part of the movie was the black president - gives you something to think about. like someone said, deep impact is the intellectual version of armageddon.

yes the one redeeming quality of the movie was Morgan Freemans depiction of an American President....

Deep Impact seemed too much like a made for tv movie than rather a full blown movie production

Armageddon is so cliched...yet i like the movie so much it remains one of my all time faves...
