That's really gonna hurt when the Angels beat the Sox. I mean, the LOWLY Angels only have the best bullpen in baseball, and it's not like they're lacking on offense. Twins and Angels actually both have the exact same record, 92-70.

Yanks.
Red Sox.
Cards (don't remember what I voted for this one).
Braves.

I'd like to see the Red Sox win, but I'm not counting on it.

It'd be better if the sox get close and then some kind of whacky circumstance prevents them from winning the series... like in '86 :D

Astros are the hottest team in baseball right now. Much like Florida last year, and the Angels the year before.

The Dodgers pitching is a wreck. It shouldn't matter for the 5 game series, but they can't make it out of the NLCS.

Boston will be real dangerous against the Angels, or whoever they faced in a 5 game series. I wish the Angels had gotten the yankees. They proved in '02 they could beat them on the road.

Lay off the crack dude and look at the poll results. Or, we can just break down the facts for you. Anaheim just lost Guillen due to temper tantrums, the man had 110+ RBI's. Garret Anderson and Erstad are ailing, and Anaheim's starting rotation leaves something to be desired. Combine that with Boston as the best offensive team in baseball, Curt SchillingX2 and Pedro (Boston ranked #1 AL Playoff Starting Rotation by ESPN) in a 5 game series, the absolute smackdown Boston laid during the sweep about a month ago at Fenway, and some would think that you don't even follow baseball. About the only thing Anaheim has going for them is their sparkling bullpen.

I don't really think that the Angels will beat the Sox. I was just responding to his "lowly" Angels comment. The angels are not to be taken lightly.

Rumors have it that Nomar won't even resign with Chitown again. Apparently he didn't perform as expected, and with injuries to his wrist, ankle, groin, and Achilles I wouldn't want him. Especially since his defense has suffered as a result. Only way I sign him is if you have a good solid defensive backup, like Boston had with Pokey Reese. But you will still lose his offense during the time he is out.

I agree, if you don't have a lead by the 6th or 7th inning you're pretty much done against that 'pen. But Boston should be able to rough up their starters, if they don't then that's where they will lose.

Radke could very well beat Mussina in the postseason, hell Radke held NY to 1 run over 7IP in August in their win, so it's not like he hasn't done it before.

Comparing Santana of last year to this year's Cy Young winner isn't fair. He and Radke will kick some serious butt, and if the offense gets going, look out.

I would love to see a freeway series. I picked the Twins to beat the Yankees because the Yankees are beat up and their starting pitching is horrendeous. It's going to be a slugfest and I predict there will be several football scores in that series. :)

You are on crack if you honestly think that the Cardinals will beat the Dodgers and then lose to the Braves. The Dodgers at least have a chance of beating the Cards, but the Braves aren't even in the same league.

That being said, the Cardinals are going all the way, baby. Count on it.

I don't know about a 'slugfest.' The Yankees' starting pitching may not be great, but I don't think the Twins can match their offensive power. With that said, I still think the Twins will win because their starting pitching will be able to quiet the Yinkess bats just enough.

Agreed. If that turns into a slugfest, it's because the Twins' pitching is tanking and the Yankees are tearing it up.
