I forget his exact title in the books, but he was the Captain of the elven archers that marched in to defend Helms Deep. He was the one who went to King Theoden and said that the alliance between Elves and Men is renewed.

Wait. I haven't read the books since fifth grade (7 years ago), but the elves don't come to Helm's Deep, I thought. Wasn't it just Orcs vs humans, or I am mixing stuff up again?
