This is why I advocate welfare reform. I'd like to see it slashed by 90% or more. Put the money into job training programs instead. I have seen too many people in trailer parks getting drunk and smoking cigarettes while their heathen children play in the street or set things on fire while waiting for their first of the month checks

Personally, I would never discount or negate honorable service to our country--and certainly not outstanding service, in-harms-way.

I congratulate Kerry for his stance against the Vietnam War, after returning home. Showed his ability to think critically for himself.

Unfortunately, politics is a dirty game--and all those who do well--get corrupt quickly. Big money is king.

I'm still looking for a candidate who is at-least somewhat independent of the present corrupt political system.

I'm not holding my breath.

I intensely dislike Bush. Reasons?

He either lied about Iraq's WMD or was too stupid to validate the data. Maybe if Bush spent more time reading and thinking about intelligence data instead of compaigning he would have a better idea of what was going on.

He has sacrificed a long portion of the future for a short improvement in the present via his idiotic tax cuts.

He has appointed John Asscroft AG who is definitely a threat to our personal liberty.

He is doing his best to roll back environmental laws to help his Corp. buddies ie Clean Air Act, Forestry regulations.

He has trashed the US reputation around the world via his unilateralism. Bad consequences for the future, some of which is already here, with Bush trying to bail out of the Iraq fiasco but neither the UN nor world community will help.

He has made the US a laughing stock via his horrendous (non) speaking ability.

For the record I have voted in every Presidential election since Nixon-McGovern.

If you equate what Bush has done with getting a BJ from an intern you really have a lot to learn about what is important.

Of course these probably aren't valid reasons to a Bush Hugger like you but it will be interesting to see what the voters decide come Fall.

Look obviously the President isn't responsible for half those claims, but man look what has happened since he's become president. Nothing good has happened, and our country is in worse shape today than it was before. Whether or not it is his fault is irrelevant, he's not producing results and that's why he's going to lose this election. There is a lot of hate towards the bush campaign, and it's gaining momentum for each liie that the Bush administration makes. I don't see how they can recover from the Iraq blunder, that pretty much drove the nail in the coffin.

We did that here in WI. The problem is that everyone starts complaining about how the welfare people are now cleaning our toilets and stuff. Or take the Michael Moore approach and follow around a guy who has to commute 1 hour on the bus to and from work.
