I have seen the rumor about an end user clicking, but we have not seen any evidence to make that even remotely credible at this point. It makes for a cute meme, but that's it. The company has not disclosed what happened as far as I know. Mandiant is arguably the best organization to provide attribution and the FBI is very involved. I imagine if it was an email borne-threat we would know that by now. Those are fairly easy to track down.Rumor has it an employee inside their network clicked on a malicious email link.
That is pretty much zero security when an insider opens the door and invites in the hackers.
Show your work. Tell us why.Short answer - yes.
Long answer: Also yes.

(This will good...for a laugh)
Oh I know...and I bet he's too chicken to defend himself. Typical of his shit and run posting style. He's just trolling, in case you don't know by now
Short answer - yes.
Long answer: Also yes.
Can't show your work? Operating on your feels again. You decried that in another thread. Oh that's right you NEVER tell the truth anyway.Short answer - yes.
Long answer: Also yes.
In the current social and political environment we live in today, divisiveness doesn't help anyone. That is totally not fair....Nobody who has an intellect even approaching that of a human being thinks that an issue affecting a private company exacerbated by moronic panic is Biden's fault. That being said, I haven't met a conservative in 5 years who has an intellect that approaches that of a human being. They're generally more akin to sea slugs.
Hehe, I bet of you cut through it the claimants would have pounced. The railroads and military have had dark fiber for decades now. If you have the pipeline right-of-way, you can string your own dark fiber and have NOTHING facing the internet.
I dug in the railroad's own dark fiber alongside the new tracks in Tacoma, and dodged the military's dark fiber while doing it. Some of it was so obscure that nobody wanted to claim it when I first dug it up. It may have been abandoned but nobody wanted to say one way or the other.

It will be interesting to see how this develops and if the government steps in and really regulates critical infrastructure better in the future. Coming in to help clean up private companies' messes due to incompetence and trying to protect their margins is getting pretty ridiculous.
The internal conflict for Republicans not wanting to regulate versus the money the government spends to investigate seems like a real mind bender. Then again, they are not capable of critical thinking and probably never put the two things together.
That's the first thing that popped into my head. WTF do they not have they own fiber network. It's not an uncommon practice especially when you have right of way. And keep it off the Fn internet! That place is not safe for things you care about! I see a VPN in my future. The railroads and military have had dark fiber for decades now. If you have the pipeline right-of-way, you can string your own dark fiber and have NOTHING facing the internet.

This, except the Facebook part. I don't have that.See this shit all over Facebook. I just can't suffer these fools anymore. Society needs to bitch slap them out of their haze. Something needs to be done. This is not healthy for society.
