Gods, TechBoy, give it a rest. You can have all the right answers, but when you look like a rabid fanboy you simply don't have any credibility. And I say that agreeing 100% with that last post, too...
To be fair to him the same people come and troll these threads every time. They use broken English and made up facts to explain why pot is evil and has these horrible side effects.
The sad part is that they spread these same lies when I was going to elementary school.
When I was in elementary school they told us that the pot available at the time was way way stronger than what everyone smoked back in the 60s. Of course, this was in the late 70s. From what I understand, they're still telling the same lies... If it were true then marijuana would be so ridiculously strong that it would be unusable.
There is definitely stuff out there which is "unusable" by n00bs.
Very much this, do not take a huge dab from an oil rig using wax/oil/honey (or any other concentrated from of cannabis) unless you know what you're doing and have plenty of experience.
Alcohol can also trigger mental health conditions with some people; believe me I've seen it first hand.

Alcohol can change people's personality. It can cause you to be a COMPLETELY different person. The worst pot will make you do is get a belly ache from eating too many Funions and cookies. You will be too lazy to go drive, and you won't want to beat your wife or fight somebody either.
Actually MJ can change your personality as well. I had some friends in high school that once started smoking MJ several times per day ended up with quite a bit different personality. (We all started hanging out prior to high school) I couldn't hang out with them anymore because their values completely changed. Once they quit smoking, they reverted back to normal for the most part. But there was at least a year or two in there where the only thing that crossed their minds was smoking MJ, and their actions indicated it.
One of the kids I talked to after high school, the other not at all. The one I am still in contact with even to this day (20 years later) says he frequently if not daily, weekly longs for smoking MJ like he did back in HS, but at this point his wife wouldn't let him, and he doesn't. I'd say that is quite addictive if it crosses his mind daily or weekly. Any opportunity he can without his wife knowing, he takes advantage of it.

I'll give it a rest when it's legal and there aren't dumbasses spreading reefer madness. Until then, the war rages on.
I think his point was that alcohol can cause an acute dramatic shift in personality during one binge session. What you're describing sounds like kids going through a gradual change in personality during what's often considered their most formative years. That their behaviors, motivations and worldviews would be influenced by their habits is not really surprising.
These debates are so useless.
I don't think anyone here is saying pot is healthy for you anymore than alcohol is.
The question was, which is worse? The facts point to alcohol.
But that doesn't mean we should all go out and get stoned. Both are harmful and pointless (except for medical purposes).

Frankly if you include those as part of the debate you're likely to get more support. I think there are many people out there that are not inherently opposed to the idea, but absolutely hate certain aspects of it and would not support legalizing w/o the corresponding restrictions that go along with it.
I also hate tobacco smoke, but for me marijuana smoke is 100000x worse. Heck, I want to gag now just thinking about it.
Some of us enjoy the mind altering affects. I happen to be one of those people and nothing that you can say will change that.
Quit trolling. Trying to tell a bunch of smart people that pot is bad is going to get you laughed at. It's far less harmful than alcohol and people are better of using a little weed at the end of their day than drinking a little wine. You certainly can't argue it's any worse unless you want to make up facts and make an ass out of yourself.
Usually, I don't argue with an idiot, because, an idiot would bring me down to his level and would beat me with an experience...
