Poll: Is 2MP enough?

Yea, my A60 does great at only 2.0MP. It's often more than enough. Sometimes I need more, but very, very rarely...like I was taking pics in the Edward Jones Dome of the football feild, and the pictures turned out alright, but they could have been a bit sharper. I could identify the people on the feild, but it wasn't perfect.

2MP is sufficient for most needs.... provided the camera has good optics - the other half of the equation.

2mpix is good for webshots and pix of things u don't really care about. other then that its a tad pathetic. you'll look back at your pictures in a few years and wonder why u didn't spend a little more for a bit more detail. at 2mpix u have no crop ability.

It depends on your use and the quality of the camera. For 4x6 prints, 2 mp is good enough. If you plan on getting into more serious photography you should consider more mp. Although like Moralpanic said, I'd rather have a good 2 mp than a crappy 3/4 mp.

2MP is definately enough for casual photography and light printing.
I'd prefer 3MP or more (good optic/quality) though.

Here is a picture from my S200 -----> Six Pack

So is the consensus that 2MP is NOT enough for 8X10? There seems to be conflicting views on that. (Aquaman says forget it, TwinkleToes says she's done it "tons" of times.)

2mpix is barely enough for 5x8😛 plus i think you lose some pixels just cropping to photo aspect ratio. take a picture of something with grass or leaves etc and there simply aren't enough pixels to convey detail. closeups of things look ok obviously.

Olympus 3000Z. Great out of the box and you can change settings as you learn more about photography.

Very good for indoor and under flourescent light; unlike the C730 I traded up to.
