What about all of those French-Canadians?
Canada would likely throw them out front as cannon fodder.
Well you Brit Canadians can just leave, we were here first. You just claimed Canada because the you lost the war with the Americans.
And the natives were there before you. To the victor go the spoils. Long Live The King and Queen!!!

Civil War will be postponed. 20 years of Premier Conferences, Royal Commissions, and political promises will now commence! :D

I figure just the sight of Canada's tank would cause France to surrender immediately, but how would Canada get it there in the first place?

France would be right to ph34r The Tank! Those who know the Way of the Tank, points to those who have The Bomb and say, "Your weapons are useless against us!"

It's not likely the US would react happily to France blowing large chunks of our northern neighbor into radioactive dust to poison us. So nukes wouldn't happen and France has been crap at conventional war since Napoleon's career ended. Plus France would have the handicap of having half its workers go on strike when they were told to work more than 40 hours in a week for the war effort.

I predict the Canadians with their tank to roll to an easy victory....

P.S. I had no idea Israel had around a 100 nukes! :Q I was thinking more around 20-30, tops!

Once the French realized the severity of a Canadian winter, they'd pretty much collapse.

France has a larger economy, a larger population, a larger military, a better military, and they spend more on defense than Canada. France is the only nation aside from the United States with a nuclear powered super carrier. For all the French crap in WW2, their recovery is complete. France would destroy Canada (assuming no other powers got involved).

When did this ever happen?

World War II:

May 10, 1940 Germany invades France
June 14, 1940 Germany takes Paris
June 22, 1940 France capitulates to Nazis

time from invasion to surrender = 1 month 12 days

So, what you're saying is 1 month 12 days = "2 days into the war". I understand.

Obviously the "2 days into the war" was a bit of a exaggeration. He was making a point, not being specific.

Even what happened to France in WW2 is more about the failure of the Western Democracies as a group than it is about any particular failing of the French alone.

And I include the USA in that failure.

No no no, Canada had a tank. I'm not sure if we have it anymore. But we sure don't have nukes. Cukes maybe. Lots of cucumbers, but no nukes.

Neither.. The French would hurl snide comments, and the Canadians would be too busy milking Polar Bears to care...;)

see my post above about the SSBN (submarine launched ICBM's)

their sub's can pull up relatively close to the east coast and hit any spot in canada

Jeez, this is a silly question. Canada has a tank and a helicopter too!! Anyway, the French are such freakin wussies, they would surrender to their own shadow........

<----man, is that the ugliest set of "dreadlocks" ever. Where do they get these icons....

One thing I always wonder about is Northern Canada. Does it go all the way over to Russia or does it end at the Arctic Ocean ?

Actually, he read my mind very well. It's an exaggeration. Considering the war lasted around 8 years and ended in 1945, 1 month and 12 days to capture all of France = "2 days into the war"

:)

Assuming the U.S. did not get involved...I think Canada has a warship too, at least one. Realistically, if any nation nuked Canada the U.S. would probably nuke that nation into a crater, then depending on who their allies are we could have mutual annihilation.
