Here is more specific. I gots

4x 256 meg cl2 crucial pc133
2x pc150 mushkin rev 3 128 megs
3x 128 mushkin rev 2
1 x samsung 256
1x pc100 generic

the funny thing is I talked to several computer people I know and they said that RAM makes little difference once you get above 128. And once you get above 256, more can actually start causing your system to run slower. It's just too much for the comp to handle. As for myself I have 256, and I saw no difference when I jumped from 128. But hey I got the RAM for free so what do I care.

In progress comp 256, Current comp 128, older comp 96, older older comp 32, older older older comp 32, it keeps going down.

thraashman, I actually noticed a huge improvement in performance when I increased the RAM in my PC from 128 to 256 MB SDRAM. Well, but I'm running Win2k as well ;)


Main PC: 256 MB PC133 CAS 2 SDRAM
Workstation: 64 MB PC100 CAS 2 SDRAM
Proxy server: 32 MB EDO/SDRAM (have to find out one day)

I have 512MB Crucial CAS-2 PC133, I don't know if I actually need this much but is is so darn cheap I couldn't resist.
