Definitely closed. I love my Antec SX-1030B--it's so pretty. Leaving the case open would make it oogly. I also keep the drive access door closed cause all my drives are white and look terrible next to that sleek black baby.

Also, then it doesn't take in as much dust and not as loud (I've got 6 fans in there).

well my out-take fan doesn't seem to be doing the job so when i leave it open i notice a 4C drop in temp so i leave it open for now until i can find another way to cool...

Two of my intake fans died for some reason at the same time so until I get replacements it will be open with external fan blowing at it...

I have one open, and one closed. I had a second one open, but I parted it out to sell.

I used to leave it open back during the 300A@504 and OC'd TNT days. Now it would run hotter since my tower has 8 case fans.

It used to be that I was always adding something, or removing something, or shifting something inside the case. One day, I just left it open, and it has stayed that way.

I will close it up when I feel that I can no longer improve anything inside.

I wonder how I will feel when that moment comes?

When I think about it, every time I make a change inside the box, the system is essentially a new system, unlike the system that it was in the previous configuration.

Also, after each configuration change, I learn something new.

Maybe that's why I can't leave the damn thing alone, even when its running just fine.

Everytime I close it, I want to change something in it, so I just began leaving it open

Case? They make cases for these things? Yippee!!!

LOL, my mom took my computer away about three months ago, and I managed to smuggle everything out of the office, piece by piece, except the case. So my system is sitting on a table right now.

I've had mine open for months... It helps cooling, and it makes access easy :)

No, that actually makes my components hotter. That's cuz I have fans in the front blowing in, and fans in the back blowing out. It's a wind tunnel :)

Edit: I have the Antec SX840 case, in case anyone cares...

I used to run my old amd 133 on top of my old 386 case, out in the open air, with the cards sticking up.
