320GB + 40GB + 40GB = 400GB
100 blank DVD-Rs * 4.7GB = 470GB
100 blank CD-Rs * 700MB = 70GB
4GB + 1GB memory cards = 5GB

Total GBs = 945 GB

120gb main PC
6 gb old internet surfing PC (IBM 300PL I bought for $10 from work) 🙂
80 gb on the wife's lappy
_______
206 GB

I am gonna be a little different. Pure HDD space, probably around 2TB, but I got like 1200DVDs, movies that is. That is at least 8TB right there. These are original dvds, not rip-off crap. I am not even counting the stuff I have burned...

File server: 3x500GB RAID 5, 500GB backup, 2x20GB OS RAID 1
VMWare server: 250GB
Gaming desktop: 2x250GB RAID 0
Laptop: 60GB
Garage PC: 160GB
Garage PC II: 80GB

3,090 GB

Somewhere around 3500 for just my stuff alone, I don't count other people's PCs (unless they're actually mine).

just under a TB.

desktop - 1x36GB drive, 2x250GB drives
DVR - 1x300GB drive
laptop - 2x80GB drives (one of which is an external laptop drive)

830GB between two machines, 5 different harddrives. Still got an old 80GB PATA in this one, the rest are all SATA Samsung drives.

minus those that do intense modeling/rendering why the flip do you need that?

Uncompressed DVD VOBs = ~5GB/movie
100 DVDs = 500GB

There's half a terabyte right there just for movies.

Oh, and myself ... /adds in head ... 580GB currently, and need moar! 😛

If we're counting DVDs, add 3TBs to my total. Me and my roommate have over 700 DVDs (film majors)

I meant "ripped and stored on the central server, they take up about 500GB."

how long does ripping a dvd take? do you rip the dvds because you are paranoid the discs will fail or for some othe rreason?

PCs + working drives lying around + Xbox360 + Xbox + DirecTiVo = 1005 GB, so I'm a bit short of a TB
