What I read:
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. What I'm thinking:
Mmmmmmmmmm..... forbidden D O N U T !!!
Up till about 2 weeks ago I had a list with every book I had read since I was around 17, thats when I started reading for fun, I am 25 now. I was up to around 150.
if I don't include the books I HAD to read for school, I'd say maybe 30 or so. I'm not much of a reader. If we include comic books add about 300 (I enjoyed them as a kid, now I see them as a waste of my money).
I'm not a big book reader, so maybe 100 or so. I used to read a few books for pleasure, but I don't anymore because college requires so much damn reading of things I don't want to read, I get burned out.
Thousands...I've read 5 novels in the past week--plus several technical articles, etc. I love to read and have been reading for pleasure since I was 6 or 7...
Well I was always an odd child ... my mom says when I was four that I sat down on the floor and cried because I didn't know how to read ... I begged her to teach me how to read ... she said "but honey your gonna be in school next year and they will teach you how .. just be patient" ... patience has never been one of my virtues ... once I learned how to read I read everything I could get my hands on I came home evernight and read to my parents for like an hour ... and not because I had to .. it was my idea I loved it.. the summer when I was 6 I read our entire 16 volumn set of childrens encyclopedias cover to cover. My mom thought it was the weirdest thing here it was that most kids couldnt be forced to read and here I was reading the encyclopedias. I still will read any chance I get ... including when I can find them books online, but I really prefer the feel of holding a book .. to clicking my scrolling mouse. My parents were big readers and my brother and I inherited that .. I hope that my children inherit it too.
