Please reply also if possible. Total all of your PCs if you want. Round to the nearest answer. For me I'm getting another 250 GB in addition to my current one, so I voted 500 GB and 256 GB free (assuming the new 250 GB hard disk is in my hands now). Right now I have just 6 gigs left on my primary 250 GB. 🙁 I got it down to 140kb once. Lesson learned: video recordings take up space!

The reason I wonder is I saw someone with a uber PC with an 80 GB hard disk. How are they still among the living?

I have a pata 250gb, and 2x sata150 320gb drives all wd. I have 350gb free (2 sata drives are setup in raid 0 and the pata drive has 10gb free)
 
Used to be more, but I sold a couple drives to friends once I didn't need them anymore (DVD burners are wonderful things)

Used to be 500, now 320

Used to be <20 at my worst (more like <10), right now about 260

Never knew there were 100 GB drives. :Q Added. I think it may have screwed a couple votes since I re-sorted them, but oh well. Sorry about that, now I changed them back and they should be fine. 100 GB is at the end now. Please do post a reply with your configuration though.
 
~1.4TB (2 little Raptors, 2 400GB Seagates, 1 300GB Seagate, 1 250GB WD)

SATA3G controller, but the Rapters are SATA150.
Raptors are striped.

This is what happens when you put your music on your computer in lossless format, download too much, never delete anything, and never use your DVD-burner even though you've created ~300GB of ISO files. Please, don't do what I've done. I even have a drive drawer and several cartridges because I ran out of places to connect internal drives.
 
Got six 1200JB 120GB drives in a RAID5 array attached to a Promise SuperTrak SX6000. I have a second SX6000 in the same system with four 7k400 400GB drives connected to it. I will be getting twelve 7k400 400GB drives total and will sell the 120GB drives. When that is complete, both RAID5 arrays will be software-striped together (WindowsXP Pro's built-in RAID) into one 4,800GB array + 120GB boot drive. It'll take a while, but I'm well on my way!

And I just bought a 200 gig from outpost for $50 AR to put in my comp as I'll be moving into my apartment where my download speeds will go from 100KB/s to 500KB/s. At home it takes around 13hrs for 5 gigs to download [hint hint hint...what do you know that is almost five gigs], so I can extract and burn everything before the space fills up. In Irvine, it'll take 2 and a half hours for that same "almost five gig" file, so I think that small 80 won't cut it for long. If you know what I'm talking about, you know that burning takes up to three times the space just to get it on a dvdr.

Yea, I used to have the SX6000 before I went to SATA. Now I'm using the BroadCom 4852 controller. They rock. And if you get two 8-port cards, you can have a 16-disk RAID 5 array... They support card migration. It's awesome... My machine is here if you want to check it out.

74GB System drive (Raptor)

400GB+400GB RAID 0 (Seagate Barracuda 7200.8)

250GB External USB2 (Iomega)

I use the two large drives for video editing, encoding, and such.
My external drive is storage for all my files.

EDIT: Forgot to add, my two main drives are constantly switching from empty to full because of what I do, so I wasn't sure how to respond in the poll on free space. (I answered >600GB, as I'm not encoding most of the time)
