Is the logo for web? Letterhead? Print? Billboards?

The lettering looks too light for print or billboards.

Also, needs comma after spine.

4 over 5. I do like two lines of text in 5 over three lines in 4, but the larger text helps 4 overall. It is subtle, but the more prominent lean of the athlete in 4 makes him seem more powerful (or recovered).

i've edited #5 just a bit... what do you guys think is best of the #5 logo?

5a
10498410_10154306455140054_7352101102916971284_o.jpg

the text is centered on the body.

5b

the text is a little bigger, but around the same placement as 5a.

same as #5, pretty much, except with bigger text.

Logo, then text.

You want the branding from the image to leave an impression before reading the text, putting the text in a better context and light with the well-done image in mind first.

I voted #1 and felt it was the strongest branding.

see, that was my thinking, too.

4 and 5(including the modifications that you made) looks good to me. I am not a picky ass. Good luck with your ventures. 🙂
