I never have. A friend sent me a warez version of a program but I decided against using it. I've downloaded trial versions of stuff from the software company themselves, but have never ever downloaded a warez version of anything.

I'm boring enough that I've never needed to. Either I want it badly enough to buy it and get all the official support and troubleshooting it comes with or I live without it.

Shareware? Use a keygen.
Try-and-Buy shareware? Patch it.

Since you can patch, crack or get a valid key for any program in existance, it's much easier to do it this way than buying it. Not to mention it's a whole lot cheaper

I do buy software, like DW UltraDev, but often I don't because it's so difficult to buy software you can't get in the shop (I don't have a creditcard yet).

I agree with Crabapple: the good games are worth paying for. I bought Diablo II, Unreal Tournament, StarCraft, Quake, Age of Empires, etc.. As for the rest of my programs, well . . . let's just say the lights on my cable modem are always flashing!
