Yep, i was.. But it caused problems when she got attached and i didnt... Of course i would do it again in a heartbeat though

Hey, Aphex II, I like your sig. It reminds me of the toilets we have at work 🙂 .

Come to think of it, I've been in several "friends with bennies" relationships.. There's nothing whatsoever wrong with it, provided you're up front and honest. Like any relationship, it takes work to maintain. However, it also takes a special kind of outlook, I think.

it's swingin' anandtech.

never been in one, but actually considering starting one right now. i know nothing long term would work with this woman, and I couldn't lie to her about that. but we are friends and do enjoy each other's company. hmm.

I've been there many times...

It does get complicated because one always falls for the other (as was previously stated). But that doesn't mean it's fun.

I think it's VERY beneficial for those who are not in a relationship but still desire the physical relationship. You can "have your cake and eat it too." No commitment but physical satisfaction.

🙂

Poor bastard...

I've always wondered how that worked too..

Just sitting around bored one night, decide it's time for action.. Call her up, "So, uh.. you wanna, like, do it n' stuff" "Sure, come on over." uNF uNF uNF "Welp, cya later." "Yup, cya." Just like calling up guy friends to see if they wanna hang out on a Friday night an play PS2 or whatever. Seems odd.

As you can tell, my answer is no. Either fall into the relationship zone or the friend zone.. Nothing in between.

This thread reminds me of a Seinfeld episode I saw the other day where Jerry and Elaine decide to become each others "friend w/ benefits".
