POLL: Half-Life 2, Doom 3, or Far Cry?

HL2 and Doom3 are tied in my book for two differant reasons. I enjoyed both of them a great deal, however, both had terrible replayability. That is why im a WoWhore now. Never played farcry.

i haven't played FC yet . . . . just the demo and i only had a radeon 8500 then . . . .

Big question for me . . . . with the latest patch is there a working in-game anytime 'save'?

i may get it if it does (i'm lazy) since it is becoming bargain bin.

Im in the middle of HL2 and Farcry right now, and I gotta say I like farcry better. HL2 is good, but I like the fact you fight humans more in farcry. I also like the more reaslistic guns in facry.

Now for multiplayer, Counterstrike is the shiznit!

Once i got over the pretty leaves in Farcry, the only thing that made me play was that it was SO DARN challenging. HL2 and D3 were so easy in comparison. HL2, though easier, was far more engrossing....to me.

I like both Far Cry and HL2 equally. I played Doom III once, haven't touch it again.

I agree with you that they are tied. However, for a FPS I don't think the replayability can get any better. D3's story and dark atmosphere makes you feel like your playing some sci-fi horror flick. HL2's atmosphere is so immersive and life like, I could enjoy playing it over and over again. Even though the hour long ride on the buggy while disabling force fields started to become a drag.

I see where you are coming from though. I've been playing Rome:Total War for hours a day, 3 months straight. FPS's can't beat an RPG or an RTS game in re playability if you are a big fan of them.

Far Cry, I really like sniping. I haven't finished HL-2 yet, haven't played it for a week or so.
The saving system made the game far more intense than DoomIII and HL-2 IMHO.

hmmmm, thats a tough one.

Im 75% done with FarCry, and 60% done with HL2,

i love both games, but im going to have to go with Farcry on this one.

FarCry was a great game... I enjoyed it very much...

HL2... Cool... good game... just not as amazing as I thought it would be.

Doom 3... Installed... played for 30 minutes... uninstalled... I actually gave my copy away... and I think the person I gave it to gaev it away as well... heh
