Sketch comedy, probably my personal favorite, and one of the most successful forms of television comedy available.

Vote and tell me why it's your favorite.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Ali G Show (sort of a sketch/prank show, some could argue it's not sketch comedy). It was to me the funniest show I've ever watched. In Living Color and Chappelle's Show coming in 2nd and 3rd.

And for the people who play games, this one is so familiar.
call of duty

In Living Color was a great show too. It's easy to forget that Jamie Foxx is a comedian. He seems to have all kinds of hidden talents. He's a great singer too.

My nod goes to The Carol Burnett Show. Honorable mention to In Living Color, SCTV and Mad TV.

I surprised myself by not giving SNL an honorable mention but I haven't watched the show since the 80s. I guess I'm not the demographic anymore ...

For me, definitely Chappelle's Show by far.

I also liked Kids in the Hall, Whitest Kids You Know and Upright Citizens Brigade.

And Monty Python, if you want to consider that.

Kids in the Hall had some great moments, I think I was a little young for some of their jokes (when they aired on Comedy Central around 2000something) but "smooshing your head" was and still is awesome.

For the long running shows (MADtv/SNL mostly), it ultimately depends on the cast more than anything else imo.

Epic fail to start a poll like this without having Monty Python's Flying Circus at the top of the list and both Mr. Show and Laugh-In somewhere on the list.

I'm old enough to have seen all the choices when they were on.
Chappelle was an amazing shooting star. It was short, but I don't think any other show was so consistently hilarious.

Uptown Saturday Night, it's where Jim Breuer & Tracey Morgan got their start.
I thought Tracy Morgan sucked for the longest time but it was only because SNL sucks. If you listen to his podcast, he's actually a really funny guy. It's such a shame guys like him or Joe Rogan or Joey Diaz can't be themselves on TV.
