poll: ever get a jaywalking ticket?

Nope, my friends and i when we'd walk home from school insted of using the cross walks we would dart out into the street. Of course there was a large enough gap that we could walk across the street.....jaywalking ticket....bah...

nope, but i got a ticket for riding my bike w/o a headlight. $55
 
yup, i heard from my friend that her brother got a ticket for not stopping his bike at a stop sign..(appartently in this city, bikes are treated like cars... you need to get your bike licensed...) i laughed and and asked where exactly was this ticket.. she replied.. right near the campus police.... figures..

yup, many a davis student have gotten tickets for not following these rules.

damn right, davis has the stupidist listing for crime..

I remember last week, last thursdya to be exact, there was a police report in the newspaper,...

Apparently, one person from the Church street, bought a car from eBay for $7000 online, but he never received it..., thus he filed a report to the DPD and when I was reading the paper, I thought it was a joke, so I went ot the police department to look at the crime book.. apparently it was true.. how bizzare that is....

No but my friend had court today for a $96 ticket for not coming to a complete stop on his bicycle at a stop sign.

Study? haha, Yeah, im studying for my GREs hehe 😀 Graduated last June, working for the school now 😀 That means im still "IN" school.. lol... 😉 how about u, why are u wasting ur time on ATOT 😉
 
I was threatened with one but never got the ticket. I was walking...rather stumbling...home from the bar about 4 blocks from my house. When I crossed the street I crossed at an angle of 45 degrees or so rather than go straight across and then turn (save myself some walking I thought). Next thing I know a cop car pulls up and starts asking me what's going on, I told him I was walking home from the bar and that I thought it would be better if I walked b/c at least I'm not drunk driving. The cop laughed and said, "True". Then he told me that he could give me a ticket for jaywalking and that I should be more careful or I could get hit next time. Then the backup showed up just as we were parting ways. I wonder if he called for the backup? I guess we'll never know.

I'm a corporate slave, I waste the company's time by neffing on ATOT. Might quit this paying job to work for a small 10 employee company for no pay! :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:
 
QUESTION:

How the hell do you get ticketed while walking, on a bike, etc? If you say you dont (or actually don't have) ID, what the hell are they gonna do? Impound your shoes or bike or something?
