Tried many different brands and they all make me extremely queasy, so I gave on them

Did you take them with food? always take your vitamins with food...

Taking them might not make a dif when you are young, but the advantages of a lifetime of good nutrition is priceless. You cannot substitute a vitamin for good nutrition, but they cannot hurt if done in moderation. Extra anti-oxidants are OK, but extras of anything else just turn your crap colors!

how long do multivitamins really last... i started taking the ones in my cupboard and then noticed they expired a year ago

Stored properly, that is at room temp in dry conditions, I would not worry if a year old. I'm convinced some of those expiration dates are just to get you to throw them away and buy new stock.

Yeah, I think that as vitamins get TOO old they merely lose potency, though I have no idea how fast...

used to take Men's One a Day, but they hurt my stomach for some reason
now I take Centrum everyday with no problems

There are tons of minerals I'm sure I don't get enough of and they are co-enzymes for a lot of reactions so yes I try and take one everyday. However, you end up pissing most of the vitamins away which makes for very expensive urine 😛

most people spend more money on junk food per day than what it takes to buy a month's worth of vitamin's
so i wouldn't call it very expensive urine

"For some reason I can't say yes or no"

--I have them in my bathroom, but I forget to take them. Probably average once a week or so 😛

You should put them in your kitchen. I always have a routine that, when I eat lunch, I take a vitamin. It's just part of it and I always see the container all day so I never forget. Well, not often anyway.

every morning after i get out of the shower, i go to the kitchen and drink a 12 oz glass of water with my multi and b complex

then i eat my healthy breakfast of a mountian dew and whatever kind of little debbie snack i have!

Hey, that's not a bad idea. I might start doing that 🙂

Yes I do

I started taking Sea Silver the first week of Jan. www.seasilver.com
This is the best vitamin/mineral supplement i have ever taken. I feel 100% better, my energy level is constant through out the day and i have acutally lost several pounds since i started taking it.

I decided on a liquid supplement because I cant take pills on an empty stomach. I put them in my pocket to eat with lunch but i forget. Then my wife gets pissed because she washes my pants and finds the vitamins in the dryer.

I also have been drinking a juice called Naked Juice. That stuff is awesome. 100% fruit juice/puree and packed with vitamins. Nakedjuice.com I dont care for the soy stuff or the green machine juice but the others like MIGHTY MANGO-GO, STRAWBERRY BANANA and ORANGECARROTBANANA are my favorites.

If I remember I do. Don't notice any difference.

<--eats right.

For some reason, these vitamins provide like 100% of many vitamins, and eating just a bit more nutritious food will push you over 100% (and some vits/minerals you can't eat too much of).

I'm sure you'll have a few people that say "If you eat correctly, there's no need for vitamins." They are correct, but unrealistic. I mean c'mon; who ACTUALLY eats five pieces of fruit, one piece of bread, a glass of milk and a piece of plain, unflavored chicken per day, everyday? Nobody I know.

I know that I don't eat right. I don't have the time. I usually have one huge meal and a snack per day. About four days a week, I'll drink a 16-oz bottle of orange juice. Four days a week, I pop a multivitamin right after my huge meal (lunch). I'm not dead yet, so I assume that I'm doing someting right!

I do. I still don't think that's entirely balanced. I also have very little time so I make "quick" dinner/lunches that consist of the following:

- "Natural" turkey with naturally aged swiss sandwich on 100% wheat bread
- An apple or two
- "Organic" cottage cheese (yah, I shop at the health food store)

That generally takes me about 5 minutes to make and I'd say it's pretty healthy. When I have more time I usually George Foreman an 8-10oz salmon filet and steam a whole bowl of vegetables. I still take a multi twice a day.

I still have several dinners a week where I eat a rather large italian meal, but I feel that I make up for it 🙂

NEWS FLASH: 100% whole wheat bread isnt any more good for you than white. Read the ingredients and you will see Molassas or brown sugar or both. If you want a truly healthy bread you need to buy 100% WHOLE GRAIN bread.
